Description
Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure services the Technical Analyst Networks is responsible for all aspects of Saskatchewan Polytechnics complex information technology architecture in the Technical Analyst Networks group. The Technical Analyst Networks is instrumental in improving maintainability and reliability, enabling enhanced business capability and processes, and improving the quality and efficiency of ITS. The Technical Analyst Networks is required to maintain a high degree of professional knowledge in the following areas:
Network Management:
Design, implement, and oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of support and management of wired and wireless network solutions.
Acquisition, installation, configuration, and operation of network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, beacons, wireless access.
Design, implement, and continuous improvement and support of Internet access.
Design, implement, and continuous improvement and support of WAN/LAN/SRnet configuration, utilization and access.
Voice Management:
Design, implement and oversee the support and management of VoIP system, Call handling system, voice management, and 911 service to ensure continuous improvements and quality service are provided.
Video Management:
Design, implement and oversee ongoing support and management of video solutions.
Acquisition, installation, configuration and operation of enterprise Video Conferencing solutions.
Management:
Design, implement and oversee ongoing support and management of email and other collaboration solutions.
Configuration and management of the email solution(s) including spam filtering.
Configuration and management in Desktop instant messaging
Configuration and management in web based collaboration and document management platform
Acquisition, installation, configuration of enterprise communication and collaboration solutions.
