What is the opportunity?

RBC Insurance Clients are unique, and their digital Insurance experience needs to be exceptional. At RBC Insurance, we are transforming our current Salesforce solution into a central hub for our internal users, Customers, and Brokers as they traverse their Insurance journey, and we want you to be an impactful part of that effort.  We’re looking for a talented and passionate Salesforce Technical Specialist to join our team and help us to deliver impactful digital solutions through agility and continuous delivery.  You will be part of a strong and enthusiastic team building front-end and back-end solutions to accommodate this vision.  You will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders from across the RBC Insurance organization to design and build best-in-class technology solutions.

What will you do?

  • Performs technical analysis, design, configuration, and implementation support for Salesforce system integrations and customizations

  • Ownership of all technical aspects of Salesforce, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications

  • Responsible for developing custom Salesforce applications and code to enable customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions

  • Writes, tests, analyzes, and implements high quality code according to specifications

  • Define and monitor compliance with code check-in, backup/recovery, and versioning processes using version control systems

  • Integrations and/or Connectors between Salesforce.com and other applications are developed and/or maintained

  • Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement

  • Create actionable technical documentation based on gathered business requirements, solution decisions

  • Assist with scoping and planning of various CRM related projects and initiatives

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years Salesforce Admin/Development experience

  • Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud experience is a definite asset

  • Design, build, test, and deploy Salesforce Platform solutions that may include form point-and-click configurations, workflows and flows, APEX triggers, Custom Web Services, Visualforce pages, Lightning (Aura and LWC)

  • Configuration, Declarative, various Salesforce Admin experience

Nice-to-have

  • Strong hands-on experience in developing with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Version Management & Source control tools (DevOps)

  • Highly confident in the utilization of Visual Studio Code and Salesforce DX (CLI)

  • Knowledge of the advanced programmatic capabilities of the Lightning Platform and data modeling to develop complex business logic solutions and interfaces

  • 1 or more of the following Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, and/or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Community Cloud Consultant, and/or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator are a bonus
