About the role
The Technician - Field Support provides maintenance and reliability support to fixe plants and mobile equipments regionnally.
What you will be doing
- Know and adhere to relevant procedures, statutory requirements, and codes.
- Continually reassesses risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action.
- Coordination of two yearly Pump Protection proof testing.
- Role model in the use of Orica safety systems e.g. Management of Change (MoC), Work Permits, unusual incident reports, UIRs, Take 5 and tool box talks.
- Coordination and completion of MMU/MCU and NHVAS audits
- Ensuring MMU maintenance system adherence through influencing and motivation of site personnel.
- Mentoring of staff and local service contractors in the support of Orica’s Operations
- Ensuring the maintenance of MMUs and fixed plant conform to SAP PM.
- Support local area Site Supervisors & Fitters (if applicable)
- Activities can include but not limited to schedule servicing, alterations and breakdown maintenance.
- Advise on regional critical spares management
- Oversee critical spares purchasing including freight
- Investigate and implement opportunities which result in productivity improvements in plant/process
- Investigate and implement opportunities to reduce plant and MMU maintenance and operating costs
- Provide specialist equipment training
- Provide onsite and phone based technical support
- Assist Asset Superintendent, Maintenance Supervisor, and Operations Superintendents as required.
- Complete complex technical MoC.
- Provide feedback to Asset Superintendent on common mode failures and communicate appropriate actions back to regional operations.
- Ensure drawing and documentation integrity maintained at plants
- Provide feedback to plants on MoC and assist in implementation and management of change.
- Compilation of Alerts and bulletins for continuous improvement and corrective action tasks.
- Use - MoC, Clearances, Work Orders and UIRs.
- Carry out investigations as requested.
- Completion of audits as per Maintenance Management System (SAP)
- Improved availability of regional equipment and plant. Cost savings through improved plant/process productivity and reliability.
- Customer service feedback and down time.
- Number of Alteration Authorities, UIRs, Notifications and completed investigations. Regional equipment documentation kept up to date in SAP.
