Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Courteously and promptly deliver and pick up parts orders from the warehouse to meet Clients’, Technicians’ and Parts department staff requests.
- Communicates with Parts Department before returning to the dealership ensuring there are no more parts immediately required from the area that they are leaving.
- Maintains positive working relationships with all vendors and clients.
- Provides excellent service by listening to client’s inquiries and requests, asking questions to ensure understanding of needs, and conveying the information to the parts departments in a timely manner.
- Places parts in areas that have been mutually agreed on between the Client and the Dealership.
- Documents and has the Client sign for all goods received.
- Confirm part numbers are the same as those on the invoices or purchase orders.
- Keeps interior and exterior of parts vehicle clean.
- Handles part returns promptly and efficiently
- Assists Shipper Receiver in keeping the stock put away; preparing for parts for orders, and bringing parts from the dealership warehouses (where applicable).
- Unload transport carriers by hand, pallet jack
- Assist in keeping the parts department clean and well organized; this includes sweeping and washing floors, and emptying recycling and garbage bins.
- Assists counter staff to ensure that Displays and counter areas are clean, up to date and professional looking.
- Ensures that the availability of all parts requests is communicated with all clients on every transaction.
- Seek out and develop changes that benefit the Client, the company or fellow employees, and advised Parts Manager of same.
- Maintains awareness and complies with all safely regulations, WHIMIS, Dangerous Goods Transport and Hazardous waste disposal.
- Moving throughout the Parts department and other areas in the dealership as well as other customers or vendors facilities.
