Our team is currently looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual for the role of Territory Sales Manager, Retail, GTA East (Mid-town Toronto east to Bowmanville, and north to Newmarket) Retail & On-Premise Dual Role

Reporting to the Ontario Sales District Manager, this full-time position will collaborate with retail partners within the designated GTA East region to elevate and grow the Trajectory Beverages Partners portfolio. The Territory Sales Manager will build and foster relationships with partners, customers and suppliers to achieve sales, distribution and market share objectives.

This role has the potential to grow to a dual sales role to include on-premise/licensee customers.

Trajectory Beverage Partners offers an attractive and competitive total compensation package including generous health and dental benefits, car allowance, gas card, quarterly bonuses, supplier incentives, and monthly commission (on-premise related).

Summary of Responsibilities & Duties
  • Plan and execute a daily schedule of calls for the assigned territory
  • Effectively plan and manage schedules on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to achieve sales, distribution and market share objectives for the Trajectory Beverage Partners portfolio
  • Educate staff by administering wine and spirits tastings and training seminars on priority brands.
  • Build upon existing relationships, utilizing professional, data, and conceptual-based selling skills
  • Work with supplier representatives and members of management, in the field, to promote sales
  • Presentation of new products and additions to existing partners, and to current and potential customers
  • Implementation of promotional programs, improving inventory status, building displays, and shelf maintenance
  • Day to day administrative tasks as required to manage territory
Requirements:
  • A University Degree or Comparable (Primary Focus on Business, Sales and/or Marketing)
  • A track record of success in an Account/Territory Sales Manager role, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a consumer goods environment.
  • WSET Level 2 or ISG Certification is an asset
  • Strong wine product knowledge with an understanding and passion for the Ontario beverage alcohol industry is an asset
  • Experience in the designated territory is considered an asset
  • Computer literacy including familiarity with CRM tools and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, as well as the ability to effectively utilize web-based tools and resources
  • Proven experience or certification in sales and negotiation
  • Strong analytical skills and polished presentation abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, driven and disciplined
  • Proof of a valid Driver’s License will be required
  • Must reside within, or in close proximity to, the general area of the GTA EAST Sales Territory
  • Must be able to lift wine cases weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Must hold a valid Smart Serve, or ability to obtain
