Under the direction of the Director of Operations, Performance, and Facilities, the incumbent will provide their technical acumen and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational and performance space needs at the Faculty of Music. Duties will include ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained, maintaining a record of inventory, editing production documentation, analyzing, and recommending changes to rental fees, and planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects. The incumbent will also provide contingency backstop support for theatre technicians and other department colleagues, as required.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Analyzing processes and recommending changes for more efficient coordination of operations
-Implementing a rollout plan for the season performance schedule
-Conducting routine inspections of assigned facilities
-Analyzing technical operation activities and recommending changes for improvement
-Implementing production activities according to plans and schedules
-Writing instructional materials
-Planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects
 
Essential Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
-Minimum five years of recent and related experience.
-Demonstrated motivation and leadership skills.
-A high degree of applicable technical aptitude.
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
-Excellent problem-solving skills.
-Demonstrated working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, the Ontario Health and Safety Act and the regulations and guidelines which pertain to work in the theatre environment.
-Standard First aid with CPR Level C.
-Working-at-heights certification.
-Class “G” Driver’s License.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:  
USW Pay Band 12 -- $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
