What is the opportunity?
As the Translator – Wealth Management Asia (12 month contract), you will be responsible for translating content which contains financial instruments and terms from English to Chinese in a timely manner in Wealth Management Asia.
What will you do?
- Translate financial, economic contents from English to Chinese (Simplified & Traditional)
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of translations in content
- Create and improve glossaries on a regular basis, establish guidelines for the targeted language and perform Quality Assurance checks
- Work closely with Investment Solutions and Product team, Marketing team, Investment Counselling team and Wealth Planning team within Wealth Management Asia to produce quality content in Chinese (Simplified & Traditional).
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics or related field is required
- The role would typically require a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in translation
- Proficiency in Chinese (Simplified & Traditional) and English
- Strong understanding of the Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics terms
- Team player with good communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail to spot discrepancies or sensitivities in translations
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and deliver under tight deadlines
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently
