If you are analytical by nature, have excellent attention to detail and have a strong background in P&C insurance, Grenville Mutual Insurance is looking for you to join our Underwriting Team. As a member of the team, you will focus on farm, commercial, and residential risks.

As the Underwriter, Agribusiness & Commercial, you can play a key role in fulfilling this commitment.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Quoting, underwriting and issuing new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations for all aspects of farm & Commercial property policies
• Reviewing risk inspections and creating risk management recommendations
• Building strong relationships with agent/broker partners
• Identifying opportunities to up sell products, coverage, and limits
• Sharing knowledge, collaborating with team members and staying current on industry and market trends.

Requirements for the successful candidate:

• A minimum of 5 years insurance industry experience is required
• Graduate from a recognized Insurance diploma program or the equivalent combination of experience, education and training. (CIP or progress towards is desirable)
• Background and experience in agricultural and/or farm operations
• Customer focused; service oriented
• Planning, analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, or as part of a team
