East Central Alberta Catholic School Division invites applications for the position of Vice-Principal at Blessed Sacrament School in Wainwright, Alberta effective August 23, 2024. The Division is seeking an exceptional and inspirational Vice-Principal who will work collaboratively with, and support the Principal to create a positive and welcoming school climate where all students are encouraged to learn and succeed to their highest potential.
Blessed Sacrament School is a K-12 school with approximately 700 students and an allocation of 42 FTE teachers and 30 FTE support staff.
Reporting directly to the Principal, the ideal candidate will:
be a practicing Catholic who demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic Faith
initiate and organize effective school programs, activities and services
nurture and encourage a positive and inclusive school culture
work collaboratively with central office, the school admin team, school staff, students, and school council to achieve the goals of the school and the division
demonstrate a commitment to successful student academic achievement
help ensure every student has the opportunity to receive a broad program of studies including dual credit, RAP, CTS and CTF
help develop effective staff professional development opportunities
demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
help the Principal effectively manage school operations and financial resources
have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and faith formation
The successful candidate:
Possess an Alberta teaching certificate.
Has completed or is eligible to complete Leadership Quality Standards (LQS) certification or willingness to complete the required LQS course requirements
Will be given preference to those applicants with Master's degree or those working towards Master's degree
