Volunteer Board Member

LUSO Community Services is a non-profit multicultural neighbourhood resource centre governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. LUSO has proudly provided services to marginalized children, youth, and families in the London community since 1980.
Are you interested in offering your unique experience and talents to support your community in a wide range of social services?
Our Board of Directors welcomes you to join us in supporting the many multicultural programs, newcomer settlement services, youth & literacy programs, basic needs support, and other community development initiatives in London's Northeast and Argyle communities.
As a Director of the Board, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with an encouraging and dynamic team to help govern, fundraise, and find new ways to build upon LUSO's mission and values.
All applications are welcome as we strive to build our volunteer Board to reflect our inclusive and multicultural organization comprised of diverse ethnicities, races, cultures, genders, ages, and areas of expertise and experience.
All backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome on our team, with particular skills/experience in the following areas as an additional asset:

• Human Resources
• Resource & Fund Development
• Marketing & Public Relations
• Legal
• Finance & Investments
• Strategic Planning

Board positions are available starting in March 2024. All Board Members must commit to a minimum of six hours per month, inclusive of attendance at our monthly Board Meetings (third Thursday of each month from 6-8 PM) and participation on a subcommittee of your choosing.
