CARGO CABBIE is a reputable residential and commercial moving and storage company based in Etobicoke. We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Warehouse & Operations Supervisor. The successful candidate would be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our moving and storage business.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the storage, organization and tracking of client’s furniture in the warehouse.
• Developing strategies to optimize furniture storage and maximize space utilization to accommodate different types and sizes of furniture items.
• Ensuring that the warehouse facility is properly maintained, including regular cleaning and upkeep.
• Monitoring the condition of furniture to ensure it is stored in good condition and meets quality standards.
• Managing the receiving and shipping of furniture orders and moves.
• Resolving customer inquiries and issues related to deliveries and move outs.
• Assisting moving teams on jobs with wrapping, loading and unloading of furniture as required.
• Operating cargo vans and cube trucks for deliveries and moves while obeying all traffic laws.
• Overseeing fleet management, including maintenance, and vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring equipment is properly accounted for and returned after each move, and that trucks and crews are ready for the next job.
• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment such as forklifts, dollies, etc.
• Working with the Office Manager to train and manage new staff, in conjunction with the company's policies and procedures.
• Implementing safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the Warehouse and on the job sites.
• Managing relationships with auxiliary storage providers and furniture suppliers.
• Facilitating clear communication between staff and management and maintaining regular contact with the Office Manager and CEO.

Requirements:

• A full G license with a clean driving record is required.
• Experience driving an 18-24 ft truck is preferred.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs for extended periods of time.
• Available to work flexible shifts Monday to Saturday, and occasionally Sundays.
• 5+ years' experience in an operations role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Sound and ethical decision-making abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
