Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all Barber Supply related receiving, processing, shipping, returns and inventory operations in our Distribution Centre: unloading/loading by by hand, lifting, scanning, sorting, picking, packing, labelling, and checking stock as required. To ensure our Distribution Centre operates with optimum precision and efficiency. Working within all areas of the warehouse depending on the business requirement: Receiving, Processing, Shipping, Inventory Control and Returns.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a passion for both the product and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Pick, prepare, package and label goods for shipment
- Process and replenish merchandise as needed, receive, and monitor floor stock, and handle product movement in and out.
- Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents
- Inspect receivables for defects, damages or missing items
- Perform detailed manual inventory counts as required
- Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval
- Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders
- Keep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping)
- Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
- Work with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30-50lbs repetitively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow precise verbal and written instructions
- Good organizational skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak and receive instruction and directions in English
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
