Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate parties
- Sort and distribute incoming packages to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, labeling packages, and arranging for carrier pick-ups
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, cycle counting, and replenishment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely shipping
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving role preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and procedures
- Proficient in picking, packing, and shipping/receiving procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and carriers
