With offices across the country, WFW services productions of all sizes from coast to coast and houses an extensive state-of-the-art inventory. Our job is to help bring the magic of storytelling to life, by supporting our clients as their go-to Partners in Production.
To better serve the production industry’s growing ambitions, our Lighting & Grip team is looking for an experienced and customer service-oriented individual to join us in the role of Grip Associate. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Vancouver that reports into the Supervisor, Grip. The general hours of work are from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Pull orders, load, and unload trucks. Ensure all counts are performed to the highest standards of accuracy.
· Scan equipment in and out with barcoding scanners.
· Complete assignments and special projects delegated by the Supervisor, Grip.
· Advise the Supervisor, Grip of any equipment defects or damage.
· Identify sub-rental equipment and relocate to relevant area.
· Operate pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts safely (once trained)
The Ideal Candidate
· This is a physically demanding job. Job holder will be given full training, as well as instruction, in safe working practices and proper lifting techniques.
· The successful candidate will be provided with forklift training and will be expected to operate a forklift, or pallet jack when required.
· Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift up to 50 lbs., as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ACA and other relevant standards.
