MINISTRY CONTEXT

Abbotsford Bibles for Mission Society (ABFM Thrift Store) is a Christian charity that exists as part of Christ’s church. The person called to this ministry must be in agreement with ABFM's confession of faith, mission, vision and core values and must have a passion for this ministry. The incumbent must be in agreement with our Code of Conduct/Ethics, Community Standards and live a life consistent with it.

Job Duties:

• Receive, Sort, Price, Distribute and Tidy donated items in the back of the store
• Greet and respectfully interact with donors at the receiving door
• Follow all receiving policies as written including what to accept and what we cannot accept
• Contribute to the efficient and effective operations of the Thrift Store
• Organize and arrange store sorting areas and displays
• Operate the cash register, cash in and out and troubleshoot till issues.
• Participate in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program activities
• Co labor with volunteers to ensure a clean and tidy environment
• Follow instructions and directions as told by manager, floor manager or supervisors
• Oversee record keeping and filing of documents
• Operate tagging machines
• Sweep, empty garbage's and recycling
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 13 per week

• Every Weekend
