Warehouse Shop Worker - Appliance Modification Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a versatile Warehouse Shop Worker with expertise in performing various Appliance Modifications, including switching refrigerator doors from right hand to left hand configurations and repositioning dryer venting from the back to the side of the machine. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, proficient with tools, and possess meticulous attention to detail. As a crucial member of our team, you will ensure customer satisfaction by customizing appliances to meet specific requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Switch refrigerator doors from right hand to left hand configurations, including disassembly, reassembly, and hardware installation.

· Reposition dryer venting from the back to the side of the machine, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.

· Perform modifications according to technical specifications and safety standards.

· Conduct quality checks to verify the integrity of Appliance Modifications and address any issues that may arise.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage of tools and materials.

· Adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace.

· Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete tasks and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

· Proven experience in Appliance Modification or a related field, preferably in a warehouse or shop environment.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions.

· Excellent attention to detail and precision in executing tasks while adhering to safety guidelines.

· Effective problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues independently.

· Physical stamina and ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.

· Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.

· Prior experience in refrigerator or dryer assembly or repair is a plus.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or equivalent

Vocational training or certification in mechanics, carpentry, or a related field is a plus
