The incumbent will be responsible for management of cost-effective operations including warehouse & distribution, facilities and customer sales support aspects in the branch environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee effective and cost-efficient branch operations.
- Oversee effective sales and service.
- Effective management of Branch team.
- Ensure a safe and efficient warehouse environment at all times.
- Ensure ongoing effective liaison with, and support from, Head Office.
Skills and Knowledge
- Post-Secondary Education.
- Education in customer service preferred.
- Three to six years related experience preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Three to five years managerial experience.
- Solid knowledge of logistics.
- Knowledge of Windows Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of on-online inventory management systems.
- Customer focused; coaches others for exceptional customer service orientation.
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and provide an environment within which employees are self-motivated to meet performance standards.
- Builds a long-term relationship, credibility with the customer.
- Ability to trouble shoot, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Able to communicate clearly, both written and verbally. Talks in way customers can understand. Does not ‘talk down’ to customer.
- Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines and changing priorities.
- Handles transaction and dealings in the best interest of both the customer and Company.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
