This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay Project Site working either 4 days on 3 days off or 5 days on 2 days off.
The McIlvenna Bay Cu-Zn-Au-Ag deposit is one of the largest undeveloped VHMS deposits in Canada. Foran recently completed (2022) a feasibility study for the deposit and is undertaking advanced exploration and detailed Engineering activities this year. The McIlvenna Bay deposit’s core commodities are critical for the global transition to green energy and Foran aims to extract these critical minerals in a sustainable manner by empowering local communities, contributing to circular economies and protecting the environment for future generations.

Warehouse Supervisor – Posting 2024-012
Foran Mining has recently completed a positive feasibility study for the McIlvenna Bay project and have started advanced design, permitting and preliminary construction activities to build underground mining and milling facilities as well as the supporting infrastructure.A Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations and material handling activities to support the efficient functioning at the Mine Site. You will lead the Warehouse Team providing guidance, training and supervision to ensure the timely receipt, storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies.
Job Responsibilities:
· Supervise and train warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure a competent and motivated team.
· Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, and supplies.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to monitor stock levels.
· Coordinate the processing of incoming orders from various departments and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of requests.
· Coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies within the warehouse using appropriate handling equipment and safety protocols.
· Oversee the receiving of incoming shipments, inspect materials for damage or defects, and verify quantities against purchase orders.
· Organize the packaging and shipment of outgoing materials, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with shipping regulations.
· Implement efficient storage systems and layouts to optimize space utilization and ease of access to materials.
· Enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment in the warehouse.
· Conduct safety training for warehouse staff.
· Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to address any supply issues, delays, or quality concerns.
· Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, incoming and outgoing shipments, and other warehouse-related documentation.
· Work closely with mine site operations teams to understand their material needs and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
· Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement in warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
· Ensure compliance with mine site and company policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
· Develop and implement emergency response plans for the warehouse, addressing potential hazards and incidents.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
· Associate degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing or a related field considered an asset.
· 3-5 years previous experience in a similar leadership role within warehouse operations, inventory management or logistics are essential.
· Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, track shipments, and maintain an orderly warehouse layout.
· Strong attention to detail in handling materials, verifying quantities, and maintaining accurate records is crucial to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
· Effective communication, time management and problem-solving skills are essential.
· Proficiency in using warehouse management software, inventory systems, and basic computer applications.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices is vital in a mine site environment to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
· Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, handle unforeseen challenges, and adjust to shifting priorities is crucial in the dynamic environment of a mine site.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $90,000 to $103,000/year based on experience and qualifications.
Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
