Provides production support across all manufacturing units, and production visibility and status to Program Management (and customers), through, Production Control, Finished Part Stores tool stores and expediting functions.
The following reflects the principal duties and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements, nor does it imply that all workers in this category perform all of these functions
1. Incorporation of customer and internal changes through Change Control Board.
2. Release of shop orders to support schedules.
3. Ensures efficient and safe layout of all Finished-Part Stores including proper labelling, wrap and storage of all parts.
4. FIFO stocking and caching, and inventory accuracy via cycle-counting.
5. Actioning of internal documents (change notices, rejection reports, etc).
6. Splitting shop orders and/or subbing of material, and closing shop orders.
7. Resolution of bottle-necked work cells and manufacturing issues obstructing production with manufacturing supervision.
8. Organizes new customer programs by monitoring/reporting/expediting first-off part requirements including drawings, tools, material, etc.
9. Maintenance/actioning of shortage reports and KPIs on all programs.
10. Priority requirements with manufacturing supervision and expediters, and responds to manufacturing supervision requests.
11. Resolution of bottle-necked work cells with manufacturing supervision.
12. Supports Maintenance with purchasing requirements.
13. Supports Procurement in resolving issues related to customer and vendor shipments, and maintaining compliance.
14. Strong knowledge of ERP systems. Update ERP system with all transactions, and maintain filing systems.
16. May perform other related duties as required by the company.
