Warehouse Team Lead

Calgary's largest mobile tire storage company seeks a responsible, hardworking individual to join the company as a Team Lead! Tire Chalet was created in the spring of 2015 and is a family run business. By keeping service levels high and continually growing their business one account at a time, Tire Chalet has grown to the single largest seasonal tire storage provider in Western Canada. Future plans have expansion into Ontario and Quebec in the coming years. In order to do so however, Tire Chalet will execute the plan on the strength of great people in each location they open.

Responsibilities:

• Set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the company’s larger plans
• Serve as a link between subordinates and upper management
• Supervise the pick and load out of goods for delivery
• Hiring and training of shift staff
• Operate Narrow Aisle Order Picker
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
• Perform cycle counts as required
• Pick and stage orders to be shipped
• Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace

Qualifications:

• Experience in a supervisory or coaching role
• Experience in a warehouse environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Great organizational skills and an eye for detail
• Strong understanding of Safety regulations
• Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Must own steel toe safety shoes
• Be on time, have a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
