About the Role

We’re looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager for our Edmonton, Alberta location. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a book of business inclusive of new business, pricing, mid-term endorsements, and renewals.
What You’ll Do
Work closely with an Account Executive to deliver extraordinary value to our clients by identifying exposures, determining the appropriate solution, and preparing new business or existing business proposals for AE to review and present to the client
Provide professional and prompt client service including phone and email on new and existing client accounts, including client questions on topics such as coverage, billing, reporting of claims, audits, endorsements, cancellations, etc.
May be required to remarket renewals as required
Be a key partner in maintaining positive, long-term relationships with the clients, insurance carrier representatives, and NFP staff.
What You Bring
P&C Insurance License for the coverages being serviced (Level II General) is a must
Typically, more than 5 years of industry and commercial lines experience – including trucking and logging companies
Extensive experience in the placement of multi-line coverage on Mid-Market to Complex accounts
An understanding of AIC, IIBAA, and other regulatory board expectations and regulation
Confident, poised, and interactive - when client-facing communicates effectively, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and understands how to tailor responses in a variety of dynamic situations
Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workloads and priorities
Sharp attention to detail with excellent decision-making skills
Excellent computer skills are expected and TAM and Policy Works fluency is an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products – specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
