About the Opportunity

• Responsible of full-cycle general accounting, including preparing accounting entries for multi-business lines
• Record and reconcile transactions in accordance with accounting standards
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing vendor invoices and customer payments
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Assist in month-end closing tasks
• Review junior associate's work and provide coaching through sharing of experiences and best practices
• Take lead in the annual audit to ensure completion in a timely manner and with minimal adjustments
• Participate in process improvements to streamline the monthly financial close process
• Solid knowledge of tax reporting requirements and respond with tax bureaus
• Assist in the development and implementation of new internal control policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with other departments, such as operations and compliance, to ensure the financial health of the company
• Assist with ad-hoc projects across the Finance team

About You

• CPA/CA/equivalent, or working towards a designation
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
• 3-5 years experience in full-cycle accounting, preferably in the financial service industry
• 3 years of solid experience with QuickBooks or equivalent
• Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Must be comfortable being Hands-On and demonstrate the ability to operate with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy through performing self-reviews
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Salary Range
$60,000 - $80,000/year
