Our organization is searching for an Accounts Payable/Receivable & Purchasing Clerk, who has the skillset to grow with us, and take on varying roles such as HR in the future. The ideal candidate has bookkeeping and office administration experience but also an entrepreneurial spirt, and is a go-getter looking for an opportunity in a fast-paced, growing company. This position will support our accounting department for our multi-process steel facility.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Data Entry
• AP and AR using Sage 50
• Purchasing
• Update MetalChase / monitor open PO's
• Verify incoming packing slips match purchase orders
• Scan MTR and save in folder
• Process credit applications for new accounts
• Processing Work Orders
• Preparing Shipping documents
• Assist with Processing job costings
• A/R duties such as collections and account reconciliations
• Reception duties such as copying, filing, organization of records and files, operating office equipment
• Assist all departments with other related duties as required
• Follow all applicable quality policies and procedures as per Quality Manuals
• Follow all safety rules and regulations

Essential Skills:

• Computer use, Outlook, Excel/Word and Computer Keyboarding
• Experience using and managing databases via Excel and Access
• Previous office administration experience
• Keen attention to detail and highly accurate
• Able to read, write and speak English proficiently
• Basic to intermediate understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with Sage 50 a requirement
• Previous experience using ERP systems an asset
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
• Self-starter, team builder and decision maker
• Post-secondary education in an accounting field a definite asset
• Payroll/HR/recruiting experience an asset
• Able to complete assignments on time
• Experience working in a steel fabrication facility and/or knowledge of metallurgy an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
