As the Accounting Assistant you will work as a critical team member in the Finance Department. You will problem solve and manage the short-term treasury issues of WorkplaceNL.
Role Responsibilities
Ensuring timely completion of a number of accounting functions, such as:
- assisting with management reporting and supplier payments;
- reconciling general ledger accounts to various sub ledgers;
- identifying and resolving banking issues; and
- finalizing payment transactions and tracking investment values.
Educational requirements:
- Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree
- Successful completion of treasury related courses would be an asset.
- Two years of related experience
- Experience in dealing with treasury issues would be an asset.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel applications
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Providing professional and timely customer service to both injured workers and employers, by ensuring prompt resolution of banking issues.
- Being relied upon for functional advice and guidance by colleagues throughout WorkplaceNL - particularly in the Finance, Claims Services and Assessment Services departments.
- Actively developing monthly, quarterly reporting and reconciliations reliance for audit and actuarial analysis.
