WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
RBCCM QTS Global Credit Support team is undertaking a lot of new projects as part of RBC’s ongoing plan to improve technology management and streamlining the Capital Markets Credit and lending business.
In this role, you will manage Production Support activities for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure their integrity. You will also manage two or more specialized apps in Global Credit app space and working with application support team members to get the below job description mandates done.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Drive for self and for team advanced analytical thinking and execution to solve problems. For ex: do fact based and structured trending of file arrivals, job timings etc and research driven proposals before signing SLAs and OLAs.
Effective, strong, daily enforced service management controls for respective applications for incidents, changes and problems.
Metrics, Data Intelligence Dashboards, OLA/SLA dashboards to provide application and tower Vital Signs management.
Manage releases and coordinate bugs/enhancement with internal development and external vendors.
Work closely and integrate with the CTB (Change The Bank) team to engage in collaborative agile based development.
Improving productivity and expense management by automating processes & functions, maximizing use of lower cost locations and offshore vendors, embracing reuse and increasing accountability for spend at all levels.
Improve our application monitoring footprint by actively tracking ITRS level 1 through 5 metrics and ensuring depth/saturation across our estate.
Ensure full compliance with our Access Management and Segregation of Duties policies and standards (Metric: ZERO reported access control violations).
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Undergraduate degree coupled with great understanding of RBCCM Global Credit business functionalities including Credit and lending business.
Strong technical knowledge in Linux, SQL Server 2019, IBM DataStage and SAP Sybase and good working skills in the mainframe AS/400.
Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have:
ITIL certification.
Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation.
Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers.
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.
