Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
The incumbent is responsible for the provision of secretarial and administrative support services to the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre. The incumbent will maintain a line of accountability to their assigned areas in matters relating to the day to day functions of the position. Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures and applicable legislation. The incumbent must contribute to a respectful work environment and participate in workload sharing and coverage within the administrative support team for the site and offices within the community area(s).
Experience
-Keyboarding speed of 50 wpm with excellent typing skills.
-Experience with dictaphone/medical transcription, and medical terminology preferred.
-Experience recording, transcribing, preparing minutes and agendas.
-Experience in scheduling and coordinating meetings.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases.
-Switchboard / reception experience.
-Experience with SAP would be an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
-Grade 12 Education or equivalent program of studies; formal training in applied office skills required.
-Two years’ experience in a health/medical related environment.
-A combination of education and experience may be considered.

-Ability to maintain a high level of sensitive and confidential information.
Physical Requirements
-Required to work for long periods of time at a computer.
