The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is seeking an Air Attack Program Manager for Air Operations in Prince Albert, SK (with travel to La Ronge required).
Headquartered in Prince Albert, you will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director - Air Operations, providing leadership in directing the Air Attack Unit within SPSA. Duties include direct responsibility for all subordinate Air Attack Officer and Tanker Base Operator positions and ensuring that provincial tanker base facilities are properly maintained. Your responsibilities will also include the recruitment, development and delivery of related training programs, and general supervision of the staff under your control. You will assist in the tendering process for all foams, fire retardants and water enhancers used in aerial suppression.
To qualify, you would typically possess several years experience in the role of an Air Attack Officer and be currently certified for national resource exchanges in that role. You will also possess the skills and knowledge typically acquired through the successful completion of a diploma program in Integrated Resource Management, Renewable Resources Technology, or a similar program focusing on applied environmental sciences.
