Job Title: Maintenance Operation Controller
Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Shift Manager.
Role Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the MOC Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless technical dispatch and oversight of diverse aircraft fleet, including A220, A320, A330, B737, B767, B777, and B787 models. The primary responsibility involves adhering to the guidelines set forth in the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction, affiliated maintenance organizations, and flight crews to uphold maintenance standards, ensuring optimal aircraft serviceability, punctuality, and utilization as per the Control Manual.
- Oversee the technical dispatch maintaining alignment with established Airworthiness standards.
- Coordinate immediate maintenance needs across various stations or airports, offering technical support for aircraft not in service.
- Serve as the primary contact for all Line Maintenance operations.
- Manage and oversee the handling of MEL (Minimum Equipment List) items across the fleet.
- Regularly update the Shift Manager and senior management on fleet operational status.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and training in technical and regulatory aspects relevant to the role.
- Utilize real-time aircraft monitoring tools to preemptively identify and address potential defects.
- Participate in aircraft endorsement training as required.
Requirements:
- Possession of an A.M.E. M2 or E License, with active endorsements for any aircraft
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks and agencies, including the Maintenance Control Manual, Transport Canada, FAA.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including extended hours when necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Capable of interacting effectively with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Excellent judgment and proactive initiative.
- Ability to give clear technical guidance and instructions.
- Independent work skills with minimal supervision.
- Pursuit of external or internal management development opportunities.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Email, Excel, and Windows.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
