Position Overview:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Finance, the Analyst, Finance, will be responsible for assisting in all financial routines including month end closing and reporting processes, in addition to any ad hoc reporting and financial modeling. The ideal candidate will have a finance or accounting background and the ability to interpret key financial information and an understanding of finance & accounting concepts to be able to convey information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monthly finance closing process
- Perform monthly analysis by providing commentary and insights on the results
- Drive automation by identifying processes and routines that are good candidates
- Assist in the monthly forecast process, including interacting with members of the business to drive accurate results
- Work with internal partners to ensure that results are consistent with U.S. GAAP
- Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- 1 year of finance or accounting experience
- High degree of comfort with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems; SAP, Alteryx, Power BI and Hyperion experience an asset
- Strong organizational skills required to meet tight reporting deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or related discipline
