Make an impact with our Indigenous ease Services team as an Analyst. This diverse team of professionals works with more than 250 Indigenous peoples, groups, and organizations across Canada and shares a passion for learning and understanding their history, culture, and contributions to our country. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses, and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political, and economic environment.

In this role, you will work in partnership with Indigenous organizations to help them strengthen their financial management practices though services such as:
- Performing assessments to help clients better understand the opportunities within their finance department
- Coordinating and facilitating financial process redesign sessions and capacity-building workshops
- Implementing financial best practices and cloud accounting software
- Providing recommendations and direction for various financial reports and adjusting entries
Responsibilities
- Assist in the proposal, planning, and implementation of client engagements including coordinating project logistics
- Complete business and program assessments focused on people, process, and technology; identify potential issues and risks
- Complete business process mapping and analysis with a focus on improving outcomes
- Support clients to implement and sustain new financial processes and software
- Maintain high proficiency with cloud accounting software and provide support to clients and team members
- Onboard new clients and build trusted advisor relationships by gaining an in-depth understanding of their business objectives and needs
- Support MNP’s external financial advisor in providing ongoing financial support and bookkeeping services
- A certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset
- 1 year of full-cycle bookkeeping experience is an asset
- Professional or personal experience working with Indigenous organizations and businesses is an asset
- Completion or near completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is an asset
- Experience working with, or exposure to, accounting software such as Sage 300, Xyntax, QuickBooks, QBO, Xero, Sage Intacct, is an asset
- Travel for project delivery and business development will be required
