Job description

Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Asset Integrity Inspector for a long-term contract with our client, a developer of oil and natural gas resources in Rainbow Lake, AB. As an AI Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering Teams, leveraging your technical skills to manage activities related to mechanical integrity, pipeline integrity, chemical applications, corrosion identification and mitigation, inspection, monitoring techniques, and failure analysis.

  • Location: Rainbow Lake, AB

  • Job type: Full-time | Long term contract

  • Shifts: 4 Days On, 3 Days Off | 10 hours per day

Duties and Responsibilities: 

•         Conduct internal and external inspections of Pressure Vessels, pressure piping, and boilers at Plant and field facilities.

•         Plan, schedule, and supervise NDE activities in the plant and field.

•         Participate in and lead incident investigations and failure analyses of pressure equipment failures.

•         Support, participate in, and follow up on internal and regulatory audits.

•         Lead pressure equipment repairs.

•         Complete all required internal, external, and thorough inspections of boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure piping.

•         Coordinate and supervise all required NDE activities performed by contractors.

•         Conduct thorough investigations and failure analyses of pressure equipment-related failures.

•         Analyze and document all inspection activities for condition assessment, remaining life calculations, and next inspection interval determination.

•         Provide input into business, budgeting, and T/A planning activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a corrosion integrity/pressure equipment inspection role.

  • A Technologist diploma in Materials, Chemical, Petroleum, Welding, or other relevant Engineering Technology program.

  • Alberta ISI-IBPV / In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency.

  • API-510 Certifications.

  • API-570, 653, and National Board Certifications are considered an asset.

  • Experience in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.).

  • Knowledge of pipeline codes and regulations is an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of pressure equipment codes and regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset.

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and acceptable abstract.

  • Strong commitment to personal and process safety.

  • Team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
