This is an exciting new role for an Assistant Manager working for a new concept grocery store.
```Duties```
- Assist the manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient and effective functioning of the business
- Provide support in training and development of staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Supervise team members to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and meeting performance targets
- Implement sales management strategies to maximize revenue and achieve sales goals
- Manage payroll processes, including tracking hours worked, calculating wages, and ensuring accuracy of payments
- Assist in recruiting and hiring new employees, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions
- Provide administrative support to the manager, including handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records
```Requirements```
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or customer service environment
- Strong market knowledge and understanding of industry trends
- Excellent training and development skills to enhance the capabilities of the team
- Proven ability in supervising and managing a team effectively
- Experience in sales management, including implementing strategies to drive sales growth
- Proficiency in payroll processes and systems
- Ability to recruit and select qualified candidates for various positions within the organization
- Bilingual skills (if applicable) to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
