Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare arguments for court proceedings.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, court staff, and other parties involved in the cases.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences as required.
- Collaborate with the owner lawyer to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
- Carriage of Civil Litigation matters on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Requirements:
- LL.B. or J.D. degree from a recognised law school.
- Called to the Ontario Bar and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 1-3 years of experience practising Civil Litigation. Experience with construction lien proceedings in particular will be considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office Suite.

This is an in-person position based in Stratford, Ontario. While remote or hybrid arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, the strong preference will be for a candidate who is willing and able to work in-person at our downtown Stratford office.
