- Follow Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards and practices to ensure safe and reliable operation of assigned plant areas.
- A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Alberta 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Class.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Able to work a 12 hour rotating shift.
- A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
- Related two year technical diploma, such as Chemical Engineering Technology or Power Engineering Technology.
- 1 or more years related (Operations, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical) work experience.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
The physical abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, include:
- Medically approved to respond to emergencies.
- Physically & Mentally able to work in stressful environments including, but not limited to: confined spaces, low visibility, fully encapsulated PPE, and extreme close proximity to others.
- Physically & Mentally able to work at varying heights in an emergency capacity.
- Frequent/Occasional lifting of material weighing approximately 50lbs.
- Must have or be willing to earn EMT-Basic and HazMat Technician certifications.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator, SCBA, safety harness.
