Bartender/Supervisor

The Neighbourhood Group of Companies that operates The Wooly Pub (Guelph), Borealis Grille & Bar (Guelph & Kitchener), Miijidaa Café + Bistro (Guelph) and Park Eatery (Guelph) are looking for a Bartender Supervisor to work at one of our operations.

We are looking for a motivated individual with at least 2 years of professional high volume bartending experience in a similar role.

As a Bartender Supervisor you will;

• Be the source of real-time team support, acting as the main point of contact for all Front of House team members on every shift you lead
• Run a smooth operation by using your impressive communication skills between all team members, both Front of House and in the Heart of House
• Take responsibility for keeping the business on track with filling out daily reports, monitoring and tracking daily cash deposits
• Keep team members and guests safe and sound, advocating for a safe and healthy work environment
• Create an engaged, connected and in sync team through coaching, mentoring and personal development
• Work closely with the leaders and team members to drive lunch and dinner service each day by creating a memorable guest experience
• Exercise your entrepreneurial skills and unique service offering by being a business owner and taking responsibility for your service, every shift
• Be required to demonstrate sound knowledge of our steps of service, menu items, and food preparation
• Create an environment of connected, committed teamwork through non-stop communication and the willingness to help others win
• Be the gracious host of the party, keeping fun the focus of every interaction
• Bartending experience is preferred; service and hospitality- oriented attitude a must
• Passion about VQA and what local craft brewers are doing around us
• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively, and interest in learning new skills
• Ability to move or adjust heavy objects, stand for prolonged periods, bend, stretch
• Optimize your section turnover by achieving flawless operations

Salary: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
