Beverage Cart / Snack Shack Server

Pinestone Resort is committed to providing exceptional customer service to all guests, and the golf course is no exception. As a member of the golf course staff, you would have the opportunity to interact with guests and help create a memorable golf experience.

The Pinestone Resort and Conference Centre Overlooks 160 acres of lush “Cottage Country” landscape in the scenic Haliburton Highlands of Ontario. The area’s only full-service hotel with a golf course and restaurant, just two and a half hours from Toronto. Staff and Guests can enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities ranging from hiking, biking, golfing, fishing and swimming.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to golfers and guests while operating as an on-course server! The server will offer a variety of snacks and beverages to golfers on the course, accurately process transactions, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the Beverage Cart and Snack Shack. The server must have excellent customer service skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Maintaining all cart supplies and being available on the course to serve Members and guests in a timely manner.
• Accurately process transactions for purchases using the point-of-sale system, and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers.
• Ensure that the Beverage Cart and Snack Shack are clean and organized.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of products, restock supplies as needed, and report any shortages to management.
• Follow all food and beverage handling procedures and health regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer customer questions, and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Other duties as they are assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic computer skills and experience with point of sale (POS) systems
• Enthusiastic and Energetic
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and ability to adapt to changing schedules and customer needs.
• Basic math and cash handling skills, and ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Must have or able to obtain Smart Serve
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Familiarity with golf terminology, etiquette, and customs preferred, but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Salary: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
