We are looking for a Bilingual (FR/EN) HRBP, who will play a crucial role in supporting, coaching and partnering with our leaders at different levels in the organization to implement the best HR practices and enhance our people’s engagement in the 6 provinces of operations.

Summary: The HR Business Partner is a hands-on Subject Matter Expert responsible for achieving and maintaining HR compliance, employee relations support to our managers and leaders in the different provinces. This role requires a commitment to a positive workplace environment and a proactive approach to delivering timely and reliable service to your internal client. As the front HR professional, you'll play a key role in driving the HR plans, and launching HR programs in support of Stevens growth plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships within the Operations team and people leaders to ensure the effective delivery of HR programs, providing guidance for decision making and offering proactive solutions.
  • Lead various HR-related tasks and projects, while executing day-to-day HR operations
  • Work with people leaders to coordinate and execute the annual performance management cycle, compensation planning cycle, full-cycle recruitment processes, as well as change management.
  • Provide guidance, advice and coaching to managers and directors on the consistent and fair application of HR policies and practices.
  • Collect, analyze, and report out on key HR metrics.
  • Lead and coach the HR Coordinator
  • Advise on matters relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Labour Relations including consulting on issues related to employee discipline..
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Address employee concerns and proactively identify opportunities for improvement in the work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Remain current with all relevant legislative changes as well as current legal interpretations.
  • Establish and ensure the achievement of goals and objectives and meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the HRIS and other tools that will increase efficiency of employee and managers self service.
  • Manage multiple initiatives, projects, and changes in workload, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce program, operational, policies and procedures that aim at ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Fully bilingual in English and French
  • Experience working in multi-unit environment with basic knowledge of provincial legislation is a must
  • Experience working with Quebec legislation is an asset
  • Proven experience in employee relations and HR compliance
  • Strong background in drafting and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Digital thinking with a willingness to embrace upgrades and positive changes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and thrive in fast-paced environments.
