Job description

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for providing general Human Resources (HR) support to the Evolugen team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional with strong interpersonal skills to join a dynamic team in a growth-oriented company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • With a focus on creating an exceptional employee experience, create, deliver and manage various HR programs including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Compensation, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations and Labour Relations;
  • Act as a Business Partner to assigned client groups (unionized and non-unionized) across our operations and corporate functions;
  • Manage all processes associated with the employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between;
  • Support recruitment, as needed, including analyzing workforce needs, identifying sourcing strategies, screening and interviewing;
  • Prepare employee letters, HR communications, training and development materials, intranet content, organizational charts, etc;
  • Support the Director, HR with the Annual Performance and Compensation Management processes;
  • Prepare the annual headcount budget in partnership with the Finance team;
  • Produce and analyze reports out of the Human Resources Information System.

Requirements:

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or in a related field;
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience;
  • Experience working in excel, consolidating, simplifying and communicating large amounts of data;
  • Experience partnering preparing and reconciling annual budgets is considered an asset;
  • Proven skills in strategic recruitment and a clear understanding of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle process;
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media platforms;
  • Experience working with HRIS Systems;
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Experience working in both unionized and non-unionized environments is an asset.
