About the role
Join the Enterprise Data Office Team in the Bilingual Manager, Data Governance Operations position. In this role, your analytical skills, communication skills, experience in data management and passion for strategy will help to clarify and guide teams through priorities and decision-making while helping support the delivery of projects.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of technical experts by clearly communicating strategy and vision, supporting individuals through change, and creating the conditions to enable performance excellence and innovation.
  • Lead the Enterprise Data Office operations team in the identification and implementation of strategic improvements to operational processes to create efficiencies and enhance the client experience.
  • Lead the team in conveying ideas and information in a way that brings understanding of complex issues to a variety of target audiences and enables execution of a broad range of organizational objectives.
  • Assume responsibility for the achievement of goals, including the determination of timelines, the identification of risks and the provision of recommendations to enable decision making.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, targets and results, and lead the provision of operational performance reporting.
  • Forecast and track program and budget related operating expenditures.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of dashboards.


What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as Business, Computer Science, Information, Data Management or Finance.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant work experience in data management-related positions with increasing responsibilities and a minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience.
  • An advanced demonstration of leadership skills including leading through change and enabling performance excellence and innovation.
  • An advanced ability to engage with others, getting buy-in to deliver results and skillfully influencing to build support and enhance credibility.
  • An advanced ability to identify, assess and manage risk including recognizing when sufficient information is obtained, considering available evidence, weighing the consequences of decisions or strategies in the context of the desired outcome, and exploring new possibilities to create even better outcomes.
  • An expert ability to think through issues by separating out the parts of the problem or situation and thinking things through systematically.
  • Solid business planning, negotiation and project management skills.
  • Good communication skills in both official languages (English & French).


It would be great if you also had:

  • A professional certification (for example, CPA, CISA, CIA, PMP, Risk Management).
  • Experience with Data Management systems, Data Cataloguing tools such as Collibra, Cloud Infrastructure or other key business-related tools.
