Job Description
AECOM is seeking a BIM Leader to support our Canada Region Digital Advisory within the Water Business Line. This role can be based out of any of our Greater Toronto Area offices: Markham, Mississauga or Whitby.

As a member of the Canada Region digital team, you will work with professionals in the Water Business line across Ontario and with other Business Lines in the geography and around the world to advance AECOM’s global digital advisory strategies and projects.
The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude, is customer focused, a critical thinker and problem solver and ready to apply their knowledge and skill sets to establish a rewarding, long-term career utilizing principles and methods for AEC Design and Digital Consulting projects
As the BIM lead for the GTA Water Business Line you will be a champion for:
Acting as the intermediary between designers, clients and architects so that projects remain efficient and effective
Engaging with capture teams by providing BIM subject matter expertise on Enterprise Critical Pursuit.
Assessing the current BIM state and maturity of digital and design on projects
Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements
Work with linear and vertical design team to develop BIM standards and specifications
Working closely with BIM coordinators, who are responsible for producing project information models
Ensuring that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project
Training or upskilling colleagues in specific software programs
Ensuring staff have access to the tools and equipment they need
Driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies
Working knowledge of ISO 19650 standards suite and related BIM standards
Qualifications
Minimum requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or engineering technologist diploma + 6 years of relevant experience or Technical Diploma + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including BIM leadership in the Water and Wastewater AEC space
Executing multi discipline design projects within BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Extensive experience with Revit, Civil3D and/or Microstation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Automated design using Dynamo, Orkestra and Grasshopper
Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion.
