Bookkeeper

Li & Cong Management Ltd is a comprehensive management company that manage retail stores and gas stations around Nova Scotia. As the business growing , we are not hiring a bookkeeper who can deal with tax returns, invoices, payrolls, receipts and work with Revenue agency of Canada for any financial issues and follow up the most up to date requirement on taxation.

Job Duties:

1. Using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

2. Assist with daily cash management and bank reconciliations of all bank accounts

3. Calculate and prepare cheque for payroll

4. Perform all activities related to accounts payable including entering vendor invoices, reconciling against reporting, and setting up payments for approval

5. Prepare journal entries as needed

6. Assist with entering transactions from corporate credit cards and making payments

7. Prepare tax returns, Worker’s Compensation Board, pension forms etc. with month end, quarterly, and year end reporting

8. Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts

9. Maintain general ledgers and financial statements

10. Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports

11. Prepare trial balance of books

12. Work closely with CPA for important taxation filing period.

Qualification:

A minimum of 1 years of progressive bookkeeping experience, ideally across diverse corporate entities

Exposure to property management practices is a distinct advantage

Previous involvement with a construction enterprise is a notable asset

You Should Have:

Education

Degree/diploma/certification in Accounting or Business Administration

(Or equivalent experience/education)

Knowledge of General Accounting Principles for Associations

Experience

Bookkeeping: At least 1 year (Required)

Office Admin: 1 year (Preferred)

Chartered Professional Accountant (Preferred)
