What the day will look like
- Working with diverse global teams to deliver innovative services to our largest complex clients.
- Driving performance excellence through leadership and application of, but not limited to, our Aon Leadership Model (ALM), Aon Client Promise (ACP), Aon Colleague Experience (ACE)
- Under the direction of the Executive Vice President Western Canada and in collaboration with the National Leaders; developing, implementing and evaluating branch sales and service programs against national standards and goals, in support of regional business targets;
- Directing focus client service, retention and development of new clients in Calgary based on pre-agreed financial goals and in support of branch business plan;
- Promoting, managing and accountable for the sales “pipeline” to increase the percentage of sales closed; including direct prospects and interdependent sales team initiatives within the CITY region;
- Shared accountability for branch performance results; working with Account Managers to identify, spearhead and leverage new market and client service opportunities within the local community, determine causes for underperformance, and identify necessary corrective action where objectives are not being met;
- Visibly representing Aon within the local branch community and through participation of professional, business and community associations. Establishing targeted business networking strategies and use of these networks and platforms to drive new business for the branch;
- Shared accountability for performance development, cross training and succession planning initiatives in support of the attraction, retention and motivation of key branch talent.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Progressive experience in commercial insurance brokerage with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a regional/specialty/branch leadership role
- Demonstrated leadership presence in the risk community and within the market
- Post-Secondary degree in a business related program and/or equivalent experience preferred
- Professional designations such as CIP, FCIP and CRM is preferable, or working towards similar coupled with AB Insurance license
