Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Cargo and Ground Operations, the Building Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform repairs, as needed, in different areas of the Operation. It includes basic plumbing, basic electrical and basic carpentry. As well, some ground support equipment (e.g. de-ice equipment) shall also be maintained in order to support the operational needs of the business.
This is a permanent full-time position located in Winnipeg, MB (WYG)

Proven time management skills with strong attention to detail
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
Post-secondary education in any of the Trades, including Plumbing, Electrical, or Carpentry, or equivalent experience in a related field
Minimum two years related experience in Building Maintenance
Valid driver’s license required
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
Aviation/Airline knowledge an asset but not required
Working Conditions
Physically able to perform all listed job duties
Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
On call 24/7 for building emergencies
Subject to stairs and heights
Handling supplies/parts that may be soiled with grease, oil and/or other chemicals
Consistent lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
Operation of loader/company vehicle when in airside in compliance with Winnipeg Airport Traffic Directives Rules and Regulations
Education and Experience
Physically able to perform all listed job duties
Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
