As a Business Analyst reporting to the Manager, Solution Delivery, you will be responsible for supporting the new and evolving innovation initiatives within our firm.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business goals, needs and requirements
- Leading initiatives, including gathering, validating and managing requirements, contributing to the project planning, leading cross-functional teams by providing guidance, support and direction and fostering a collaborative team culture and ensuring effective communication among tea members.
- Actively seeking opportunities for process improvement and innovation within projects and introduce creative solutions to address business challenges and enhance project outcomes.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and progress.
- Managing the firms Idea Box, maintaining the tracking and status of all ideas and working with the identified owners to implement and communicate firmwide enhancements
- Designing, testing, implementing or adapting existing systems/applications in an integrated environment
- Acting as an advocate for best practices, innovative ideas, and improvements within the firm
- Expressing opinions and concerns constructively to contribute to the success of projects
Qualifications include:
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related area of study
- Three to five years of experience working as a Business Analyst or similar in an integrated support environment
- One year of experience in a leadership capacity within a project team (project lead, team lead, or functional area lead)
- Equivalent combination or education and experience may be considered
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, frameworks and strategies (Scrum, Design Thinking, Kanban) is an asset
- Certified Business Analysis Professional designation is considered an asset
- The ability to balance the demands of project management with the need for creativity and innovation is crucial for success in this role
- A passion for customer service, an aptitude for solving problems, strong leadership skills, ability to build strong relationships and a curious, proactive, innovative mindset
- Flexible, organized and quick to learn in order to independently prioritize and organize your workload to meet tight deadlines and successfully complete projects in a changing environment;
- Creative, logical, and have a strong motivation for continuous improvement and learning;
- Empathetic, diplomatic and sensitive in order to respond to issues and concerns of others;
- The ability to quickly acquire business and technical knowledge on firm IT solutions;
- Capable to lead a group facilitation;
- An excellent communicator who is able to manage working relationships with stakeholders and present ideas and recommendations to business and IT professionals
