Medavie is on an exciting journey to diversify and expand its Pan-Canadian presence by developing a new Digital Direct line of business.  The startup team has launched Perkk Check, a digital health assessment solution that focuses on prevention and screening for health risks such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes and for organizations to provide as a health and wellness tool to their employees or patients.
As the Business Development Manager, focused in the Ontario market, you’ll be reporting to the Vice President of Digital Direct. You are high-energy, dynamic, passionate, nimble and has the know-how to support a startup business while embracing uncertainty and ambiguity. The role requires a self-starter who can collaborate with a team, hit goals and be able to establish new client relationships. If you’re not discouraged by a little rejection, you are a people person and enjoy introducing yourself and selling a company and product you can believe in.
You will be working closely with product team to support B2B2C and B2B go-to-market strategy. As a talented salesperson, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our clients and how our products can bring value to their organization. Primary responsibilities include building the market position for Medavie by defining a sales pipeline, executing a reach out campaign, and identifying prospective clients. The role is also responsible for strategic development of market intelligence, new business proposals, finalist presentations, and sales related initiatives that focus on new business growth and retention.
 
About you:
-You’ve got five solid years of experience, making you an authority in sales.
-You love to build and maintain relationships. As a specialist, you’re passionate and thrilled to meet clients with a sales concept that works for them in helping them achieve what they need. You thrive on that as customer focus is a top priority for you!
-You have a proven sales track record that you’ll be proud to tell us about.
-You have built meaningful relationships with a host of employers in the Ontario market.
-You love being part of a team but you’re also highly motivated to work independently.
-You have completed a post-secondary education in marketing or a related, relevant field of study.
-You’re a strong verbal and written communicator.
 
Other:
-Having a driver’s license is preferable as this position may require travel to meet our clients where they are at, trade-shows and conferences.
-Bilingualism in English and French would be great, but not a must-have.
 
In this job, you’ll:
-Develop, execute and iterate sales strategies to reach target outcomes
-Generate strong leads, prospecting and qualifying prospective partners leveraging established network and personal brand using professional connections, community outreach, partnerships and working with marketing for marketing strategies and other tools, as well as your own creative solutions;
-Utilizing lead generation channels (email, website, industry events, etc.,) and discovery and research to build brand awareness, develop lead base “a hit-list”, and ensure consistent database growth.
-Maintain an on-going contact management program with prospective clients and partner groups and ensure all relevant information is kept up to date and expanding the list of potential targets, and other lead-generation activities to drive the business.
-Setting up and participating in meetings with key stakeholders across relevant, strategic partners to fill the sales pipeline with active opportunities
-Tracking and analyzing lead journey and conversion metrics to identify patterns and areas for improvement;
-Promote Medavie’s Digital Direct offerings by conducting meetings, group presentations, information sessions, public events, trade shows and conferences;
-Conduct cold-calling, social media, outreach and other activities as needed;
-Support in the development of prospective campaigns and promotions;
-Sourcing, attracting and closing sales with the right clients that generate high lifetime value;
-Be accountable for achieving annual targets in the areas of new business, retention, execution, and profitability.
-Conduct sales presentations and organize seminars.
-Prepare action plans to identify specific opportunities and segment client contacts.
