As the Business System Analyst - Payroll Systems, you will assist the Manager of People Analytics and Systems in Canfor. This role is focused on sustaining and enhancing the North American payroll system through collaboration with application-managed services, IT, and product vendor support. The emphasis lies in leveraging technology, analytics, and process design for the continuous improvement of Business Systems. This position is open for candidates located in Vancouver, Prince George, or Mobile, AL, with a flexible hybrid work setup.
The life of the Business Systems Analyst includes:
- Key support role in the sustainment and improvement of Canfor's US and Canadian payroll system (SAP Employee Central Payroll, ECP).
- Key support role in the execution of initiatives and projects across the business to ensure completion per timelines and stated objectives.
- Key support role in facilitation, evaluation of business processes, and problem-solving to develop cohesive recommendations and insights for various initiatives across the organization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for payroll system upgrades or implementations.
For this role, come equipped with:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field with a focus on implementing digital transformation, innovative technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- 3-5 Years' experience with SAP Payroll Systems (SAP payroll or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll) configuration, implementation, business support, and technical support in a unionized environment.
- Experience supporting interfaces to and from SAP or ECP Payroll Systems
Ideally, you also possess hands-on experience with systems such as SuccessFactors Employee Central, UKG Workforce Central, UKG Dimensions, or Dell Boomi. Additionally, a background in management or digital transformation consulting would be valuable. Having certifications in Project Management or Business Analysis would be considered advantageous.

The salary range for this position is $86,500 - $108,000.
