Networking Cabling / Security Service Technician

Job Description:
Working within our existing customer base, the service technician is responsible for completing booked service calls in a professional, efficient manner that meet or exceed the quality standards outlined by both the company and our customers.
The service technician is responsible for the installation, programming, servicing and documentation of network cabling, security systems, computer networks, wireless networks and audio/visual systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation of certified network cabling systems, with a strong computer networking background, as well as have experience in working with various power hand tools with an ability to work safely in a variety of environments such as new construction builds, existing finished spaces, using elevated work platforms, ladders, outdoors etc...
Mandatory Requirements:
- A strong passion for technology with a solid understanding of computer networking and structured cabling for both voice & data applications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and organized.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Customer focused.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and take ownership of tasks, processes, and products.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be flexible with working hours. Typical Work week is M-F, however some Weekends and After hour shifts are required.
- 4 Day Work week.
- Rotating after hours on call shifts are required.
Non Mandatory Requirements
- Experience with Commercial Alarm Panels.
- Experience with both IP and Analog Surveillance systems.
- Experience with Access Control Systems.
- Experience with Intercom Systems.
- A/V experience is a plus

Salary: $16.55-$33.68 per hour
