JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor, this is an entry level position that provides reception, primary clerical and cashier support within the administrative function of the Aquatic Centre Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for greeting the public, in person or by phone and tending to their needs or referring them to the proper staff member
- Receipting of cash and coding same
- Balance all cash funds daily
- Responsible for inputting computer programmed registration and issuing receipts for funds received
- Perform basic word processing and filing
- Providing program and facility booking information
- Other duties as may be assigned
SELECTION CRITERIA
The required qualifications, experience and training for this position include:
- High School graduation supplemented with post-secondary office administration course considered an asset
- Previous experience working in a recreation or aquatics setting
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- Ability to operate a networked workstation computer and associated accounting membership, registration and POS software.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Position Information
Status: Casual
Hours of work: 0 – 40 hours per week, typically evenings and weekends
Union: CUPE Local 2254
Compensation: $22.11/Hour (2022 rate) + 10% in lieu of benefits
