We have an exciting opportunity for a positive, energetic, self-motivated, and team-oriented customer service representative to join our team as a casual Cashier / Receptionist at the Community, Recreation and Cultural Centre (CRCC) located in Agassiz. There are up to two positions currently available.
Under the direction of the Recreation Facilities Clerk, the Cashier / Receptionist will perform a variety of duties ranging from meeting and greeting the public; handling recreation-based questions; assisting with processing manual and /or computerized school, public and user group programs, facility bookings and registrations; and cash register operation and summaries, including reconciling cash sheets. This is a public-facing position where you will utilize your strong customer service skills to interact with the public.
Required qualifications:
- Grade 12, supplemented by administrative courses or other related training and/or experience;
- General knowledge of the sport, fitness and recreation industry;
- General knowledge of basic mathematical calculations;
- Competency in Word, PerfectMind, graphics programs, and website searches is an asset; and
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Pay and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Agreement, CUPE Local 458. The 2024 post- probation wage rate for this position is $26.32 per hour plus 14.0% in lieu of benefits. You must be available for shifts from 4 to 8 hours in duration, anytime between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., inclusive of evenings, weekends and some holidays. This casual position will not exceed 75 hours per month.
