Georgian Bay Fire & Safety Ltd., a Fire Safety and Protection, LLC, company, is one of the largest independent Life Safety & Property Protection companies in Canada. We are seeking additional members for our growing team. Our Fire Alarm, Security, Sprinkler, and Electrical professionals are protecting people and property every day. Job Requirements:
Ability to work within Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Testing, inspecting, verifying and servicing Fire Alarm systems and devices.
- Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
- Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
- Follow local and national security standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- CFAA License
- Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems and security systems preferred.
- Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
- Positive attitude & strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Overnight travel possible.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Install system hardware and wiring.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
- Climb overhead or crawl under spaces.
- Must be willing to work at heights.
- Must be able to operate electrical tools.
- Differentiate color coding of cables.
